What is Live-streaming?

Social media has taken over in the last few years — from posting photos of everyday moments to creating videos that range from long, detailed content to quick 10-second clips. It feels like almost everyone has a social media account today! And over the past eight years, social media has evolved into a new form: live streaming.

So what exactly is live-streaming?
Live-streaming is content that is created and broadcast in real time. There’s no editing, no cutting, and no filters added afterward — what you see is happening live in the moment.

Live-streaming typically takes place on a social media platform using a smartphone. Many platforms offer live streaming, but the ones most people recognize are Instagram and Facebook, both of which allow users to go live and interact with viewers in real time. However, many of them don’t offer instant payouts, unlike Bigo.
